As the pool cools the crimson darkens more And no skies cries to wash away the stains, Firemen spend their hoses to remove red And then sweep neat the broken glass away. Soon all is like it was before Everything is washed down the drains Nothing is left of what was shed And the stopped cars go on their way. Gloom |
