Moved from a shack to a barn

Its morning again
and I've awakened without you

Awakened beside an empty space
the place in my bed
that should be filled

With brown-eyed girl
body heat that isn't mine
and sleepy sighs

And the fresh memories
of the twining strivings
of your leggy madness

But, it's morning again
And I've awakened find you

Occupying that hollow space
the place in my heart
that your spirit has filled

Its morning

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

...and you got up
and went to log it in,
as proof of survival.

I enjoy every write.

Every one.

Ed, such a beautiful, loving write,
even if it is sad.

and within that light
burning bright
the morning shall come
as each new day does
Awake, my child
to the warmth
Quell the cold
by the woodstove
Another log on the fire
burning ever higher
brings hand to heart
fingers splayed
there is no time
only space
for the hollow
of heart
has been replaced

Awwwww, this is a beautifully written poem, but oh, so lonely.
