Moved from a shack to a barn

Like things that must be written
Before they are said

There are things that must be seen
Before they are lived

And I see us having met
And having met, strive to meet
The mutual expectations

The expectation of a good meal
A life, well lived
An ordinary future, ordained

Ordinary, in the usual sense
That ordinary people
Can expect the usual things

That at the table
Where we take our first meal

We would stir away the clouds
That form in our coffee

And from such stirrings
We would stir the remembrances
Of things, once held dear

And that within such stirrings
The future is fixed

Made so real and imminent
As to cause physical stirrings

Beneath our table
Inside my denim
And under her skirt

And know

That in emptying her plate
She is filled with food
And her hunger denied

And in emptying my heart
I fill her with words
That are ultimately empty

But, in taking her to bed
And filling her with seed
We empty, finally, our yearning

And replace it with love

These things I have written
Of these things I have spoken
and together, we’ve seen

And now, must be lived

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Sometimes, as words
are used repeatedly,
only some might find
the art of making each
second use, new, as if
seeing it again
for the first time.

In this, you did just that.

I still smile at your
"Constructive Critiques" message:

The more I read of you, the more you sometimes bowl
and others, decoupage.

~ To be sated sexually is very satisfying indeed!

"And replace it with love"

~ and this is the icing on the cake!

Ed, I have a feeling you'll succeed in cultivating any crop you choose to sow...whether you believe it afterward or not!
