Somnambulism
Drifts my eye opened day
Unwakened it would seem
By the routine

Rise
Clean skin and hair
Ride paved pathways
Wishing to be
Anywhere

Tell me
Do your dreams need me?

Mine seem to scream you
In colors that delight
An ideal of Gaelic simplicity
Coalesced around
Centuries of knowing
Isolation seems to leave one
If not empty
Then at least
Alone

One foot first
But ‘ware the toes
Stubbed too often there comes
A bruised cut of woes

This night
      Though filled with sun
Leaves me walking again

Tell me how
   Did we come undone?

To the first question...
someone is going to answer Yes.

Very good, Captain.  You paint
the lonesome but willing very well.

pssst...

how appropriate I would read this just as I wake.

and I was thinking before I went to bed, too, thinking that I spend half of my life, screaming to me, "I need order--a ROUTINE."

Then when I get it?

I whine, "How did I get into this RUT?"

smile...

always have me thinking you do...

enjoyed.

But I always do.

Tell me
Do your dreams need me?

I think I've asked this very question when struggling against leaving my dreams... hoping the answer is... yes. *S*

And is anyone ever able to point to the exact moment the unraveling began? *S*

I like this very much, Cap'n! *S*

"Tell me

Mine seem to scream you..."

I know this feeling so well, and that other true feeling you describe, of wondering how in the world things became what they became.

Another hit, another excellent poet. Either I'm charmed or this place is loaded!

my dreams
feel a heartbeat
whispering

where are you?

I lie awake at night
wondering

is this
just a dream?
