Dewdrops on a bed of green
As dawn slips into view
Lying ‘neath the old oak tree
Are memories of you…

The velvet blanket covers soft
Our bodies where we lie
The twinkling stars are escorting
The sun into the sky…

Two empty glasses once held wine
Two plates held hunger’s fare
Two candles gave us light to dine
On love’s ambrosia there…

The music made was from our hearts
And played throughout the night
The candles died, the stars came out
We shared the heaven’s light…

Now as the morning streaks across
The canvas of the dawn
A smile is on your sleeping face
So peaceful, yet so strong…

I lie beside you quietly
Content, not needing more
The memories still linger
From our love the night before…

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~~S~~

Beautiful feelings and images.. I remember the feeling.. but it has since faded.

Sunnyone

Oh Yeah - the grin comes across the face with a big dreamy smile and everyone you meet wonders what you have been up to.  Love the way you put your thoughts together.  These are the nice memories that stay with you for a long time.

Beautiful. "Classic contemporary" is the phrase that comes to mind for such timeless works.  As timeless as love itself.
