Roses permeate
this air I breathe
dreams on the tip
of my lips
a breath of wind . . .
and when the mist clears
all is swept away

Where have you gone?

Slipping sand
between my fingers
hands, cupped for you
in solemn prayer
I tore another page from the
calendar
a glimpse
of summer

Time is fleeting . . .

Echoes
all I hear
As the sun sets
upon this hollow shell
the moon
she whispers to me
to us
Can you hear her silent plea?

Why does this hurt so much?

Paradise
is what we had
until we ate forbidden fruit
the path home
is my desire
Can it come true?
Are you willing for it to come true?

When are you coming home?

Lovely!  Not sure who wrote what, don't even want to know, because the thoughts were seamless, and intriguing...a lot of unanswered questions...

I'm glad everyone liked it... It was certainly fun doing a duet. It took more effort than I expected, but it was worth it - the blending of two different poets styles creates a new and unique style that can't be copied writing alone.

Thanks, Sue, for working with me...
