some where deep in the shadows

A place filled only with darkness
An angel sits in quiet meditation,
Passing judgment upon a single man
A life of pain he lived,
Suffering beyond measure brought him down this path
“To heaven” the angel decides,
As she spreads her wings
A black blade appears between her breasts
Silently she slides to lie face down in the dirt
Turning in her last moments
She sees one of the fallen smiling above her
His body blackened and bloody
He is an angel of darkness and hatred
Turning he lets out a small chuckle as he takes the mans soul
“Hell is all he knows so that is where he shall stay” the fallen says
Her eyes fill with tears as she fades
Gone was the man’s hope
It lies murdered in a barren waste

-lance

There is no peace among the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter and the laughter of thirsting gods

Whew.....this is some heavy reading. It's well written, and I enjoyed the new experience.  But might I be so bold as to suggest you post it in Dark, instead of here?
It's just a thought, as it would be fantastic in that genre.  Hope you don't mind my opinion...~S~
