Eyes of Color I visualized tomorrow the ends of the rainbow having faded their color as I dress for what lies ahead. I have shed too much of myself unlocking many secrets allowing them to rise, give me pause, then face me in moments of you. A little bit of me has died each time the seeds of truth were caught in the blind speech of despair, what once was a gift now just an unwrapping with no treasure to be found. I surface only to burn the flame, melt the memories, harden its core, until there is reason when I look into the eyes, mirrored. I lightly glitter-touch myself, sparkling skin to catch the newness hearing those words unsaid, summing up the years, shying away from tears. Envision me tomorrow, I tell myself, let the hand-me-down yesterdays go, so that these eyes of color can brighten the will and reflect happiness once more. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

I have been searching for a prose and poetry selection to do as a speech at competitions, ( for our high school speech and drama team) and I finally found the perfect prose. I did not like the poem with it, they were not connected together, I will show my speech and drama coach and if he says it is not too long, could I pretty please use this, it fits PERFECTLY with my prose. I would need your name, of course, unless you wish to just be anonymous. E-mail me at starla_dear616@yahoo.com or AIM me at OnyxMoon616 I would really appreciate it. |

maureen, you never cease to amaze me how you touch my soul . . . A little bit of me has died each time the seeds of truth were caught in the blind speech of despair, what once was a gift now just an unwrapping with no treasure to be found. I will disagree with YOU being like this but I sure feel like that you ended this beautifully xxoo |

Maureen, this needs to be read by more people. It's so beautiful, my friend. Give your sister a hug for me, too. And here's one for you Ethel |
