A rat
scrabbles for bread
beside the birds' fountain:
poor company, but it could be
much worse.

Ed, you are a mess, aren't you?
I love the way you're doing these.

Ed...In my warped mind I found humor in this
poem. When asked how I'm doing, I always say It Could Be Worse. Thanks for the write...Paul

Well, I do have poison packets out, but the little bastard won't touch 'em!

We getting to be friends, he and me...I've basically given up on whacking him, since the "Rat's Escape" incident.... /pip/Forum80/HTML/002383.html

Oh, I've got some names for him, all right......

Trouble is, he's cute, and my heart ain't in killing him at all....

We had a couple of rats as house pets for a while...strange feeling to have a rat nuzzling your leg, wanting to be petted....But hey, a Ratleader has familial responsibilities, eh?

Absolutely!! LOL You must take those responsibilities seriously. *S* But who can blame you for not getting too serious about this little rodent muse who's visiting. *G* Besides your neighbors, I mean... and they just don't understand that 'bout him being inspiration. LOL

Ed....Enjoyed the poem, and especially the replies...

When my kids were little, they had pet rats...unfortunately male and female...and rats do like to create more rats...pretty soon we were infested...and the cages were not big enough.  And that is another story..LOL.

I'm scared to death of rats.....I jump up on the chair or wherever else I can find when I even see a mouse (they're ALLLLLL  rats to me). But, I think it would be fun to see you chasing this rat around. LOL

I was wondering if it's the same rat, too. Yes, ya'll should be on first name basis now. ahahahahahahaha!!
