Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2003-08-27 01:47 PM

beautiful skies of
golden longing
poised upon the ocean's breath
soul
of silver
painted by my salty tears

shivering
mem'ries
I can taste them
like saccharine roses
littering
the room in which I stand

knowing nothing
but everything still
my palms closed
around
eventide's brilliant majesty

we have bottled divinity
in eyes of blue
mottled with the tint of seaways
exhaled

and replenished through living melodies
day by heavenly day

there is nothing to know but you
in precious dignity
we knew no pride
no glory

only love
one love

sealed with hands
fingers
intertwined
forever closed

I know
understanding
no words exist

blessed, blessed quietude
in you

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"
