A typical Morning is nothing like this... |

I am quite unworthy of this veiw.. the thick trees and the singing birds of morning. I have not slept for the skin I'm in doesn't feel as though it belongs to me.. This warmth doesn't wrap around in my name. The path of red-orange hue in the glowing horizon.. oh cool beautiful dawn.. I haven't earned you. My lungs soak in the drifting scent of Yule, in August.. my breath swells in the air.. I seep the want of perfection, though I shiver I will stay right here.. Where the ground willingly accepts my bare feet and my torso aches with an unbearable need to be freed from this fleece.. The chill, oh, it beckons me. I bury my toes beneath the sand and dirty rock.. I stare deeply toward the wild weed.. Oh set me free of things I owe.. In this... let me find peace. |

I have seen mornings which made me feel like I was witnessing the birth of an angel .... ... much like the feel of these words. The simple things mean the most in life. |

You are Incredible. I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |

Meghan, this is the best of yours I've read yet. I loved it all, particularly the ending. “We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson |

My favorite poem of yours, so far. I love the nature, the desolation, the desperation and the beauty imbibed. .m. |

"have not slept for the skin I'm in doesn't feel as though it belongs to me.." I never heard it put that way, your very descriptive, and your words flow freely like silk. Very enjoyable. I truly loved this one. |
