I was dozin' on the sofa, after supper I was beat, Workin' off a rump roast and the tater I did eat, When I got to contemplatin' on the problems of the day, Of the trials and tribulations of our dear old U.S.A. A lot of folks ain't workin', and our taxes are too high, They say that our deodorant, is making holes up in the sky, It seems the world's against us, that are friends are enemies, Terrorists are free to roam, darn anywhere they please, And then them darn mosquiters, a virus called West Nile, And prairie dogs with monkey pox, done worries us a pile, My brain is overloaded, it seems we got a curse, But then I think about it, I guess things could be worse, I had me one fine rump roast and nice big baked p'tater, A watchin' me some TV, dozin' through "the Terminator." I'm livin' here in Kansas, in the heartland, U.S.A., I could be out in California, there's no more that I need say. |

I enjoyed this, Tim... though California certainly has enough to offer to endure its politics! *G* |
