She nodded, saying, "I've seen you." She added oils to the cloth. Just a drop of expertise leaving tarnish to the nap... "I used to be in love like that" She rocked as if she boasted chair nothing but her fingertips rubbing, as if that, brought luck... I saw scabs on cuticles scars she thought no one would see-- nervous evidence of thumb pick-pick-picking constantly... "I used to be in love like that" She moved the knife across the stone-- circles on the edge of blade-- she caught the light and smiled.
