Summer Feigns a Cool August breezes swing the feeders summer sprinklers refresh the way; lazy morning’s busy grasses make an oxy- moron day. There’s a smile deep inside me bubbling up to delight my play; syncopated rhythmic slapping marks the seconds held at bay. Roses wait aromas wafting in a sweet en rapt array; dancing on the currents waving beneath the trees in mellow sway. It’s time for me to stand and labor purposeful, without delay; to give these hours their time of blessing while taking time to stop and pray. ©August 16, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Lovely, absolutely lovely. I'm so glad I found a website that houses such great work. Most of the poems I read are from people that never seem to pick up a book much less a pen. You obviously don't have that problem. I have only my genius to declare! |
