Tired broken soldier of the surf, spirit battered lying shattered in the sun, the fight the outrage at the storm, the dreams undone; others sisters of the sun brothers of the sand may yet recall how valiantly you tried, how helplessly you died, weapons slashing at the foam in the blinding crushing roar; you've earned the peaceful evening's tide of dreams; sleep well child of the moon. ©2003 by icebox |
