Crushed by a safe, thrown off the Chrysler building
We robbed the Coors light truck
Victoria Secret stole our curves…..
We were, a class act, following Jefferson Starship
Longer then a 10-day trend,
Show biz trivia got to the core of our relationship
We swelled with Madison Square Garden
Like children, we disobeyed rules in So Ho
We had that connection…that thing that made us
Originality illumes on a dark screen...or a ferry boat across the Chesapeak
Improvisers of virtuosos on the canvas of the mind’s eye
Academically, we brushed work aside, ponies blessed our kind.
We were so politically incorrect, what the heck
Mexico wasn't going anywhere.
The world arose intimately on our framework
We were something! An obsession embarking visions.
Pioneers concept of a work of art, or a Renoir
You name it, we had it all.......
Self-sufficient whose measure could not be taken?
Perspectives came with ease, flexibility...climbing peaks
On a blanket in the park, under a climbing rose arbor
Blending flowery patterns re-echoing, romance, music
The sound of a candle opera on a warm spring evening
Infinite, intricate, varied combinations of space
Now perhaps wondering what successes we embraces
We had Sight and Sound...at our fingertips
What beauty would we have enjoyed?
places we've been...both physical & spiritual
Ahhhh, but bittersweet and well intentioned are those memories
Our splendor surpassed verbal descriptions
and any highway built...
Joined in a friendship, crowned by love
Retrospectively condensed, selections of sensitivity
We lapsed into paradise, simultaneous oneness...
Where an accordion played, just for us...we were pioneer poets, understanding English traditions in Williamburg, Virginia....

A volte tocchiamo un corpo e lo svegliamo
we worship it like the sea…like an undressed chorus
You were summer...filling my entire body....
Thank you my love....
