 The Diadem Summer solstice day it was, I remember when we pronounced those fatal words that were meant to bind us forever. How comes just today I found the diadem I wore that special day when I was smiling to a radiant future of happiness and love? I hold it in my hands and suddenly I tremble as it carries me back in time to a moment when emotions kept me in a misty blur. “I do. I do.” The diadem whispers mockingly. I put it in my hair and the mirror plays a trick a young girl’s naive trusting eyes pierce mine. I feel as if I see this diadem for the first time while my life went on, it stuck to the memory of the day when it had its moment of glory. It still shines and knows nothing of the storms that have tormented my soul and my heart when sadness and despair kept me in the dark. But today as I step into yet another Summer I feel I can give hope a further chance to win, into peaceful waters I want to steer my boat. With the diadem in my hair I face my beloved and watch his tears fall down his cheeks while he too hears the whisper “I do. I do”. Even though youth has been left behind we do have the precious gift of the Now, we still have the choice to make things right. [This message has been edited by Margherita (06-21-2003 08:59 PM).] |

Even though youth has been left behind we do have the precious gift of the Now, we still have the choice to make things right. very impressive closeing lines,, loved your write..with the pic to give it visual..
