I woke and stumbled to the bath every inch of me screamed wrath of the night before... I turned the tap to splash my face and dared the mirroring disgrace looking there for clues... Then I saw what no one ought, myself within the stink of rot eyes protruded from my skull... My teeth no longer graced my grin chiming on the porcelain I washed them down the drain... Then I brushed my hair from eyes and clumps of gray became entwined in my fingers as a spool... Then I let loose with a howl covering my face with towel only to displace my skin... Leaving nothing but the bone and a promise to atone, emptiness of much too late... Mercifully, I left that dream-- swearing I'd not sleep again. |

Good gravy! Is it Halloween already? Do you know what "they" say that dreaming of your teeth falling out don't you? |

Ummm... I'm not sure what to say to this, the visuals were disturbingly vivid... I hope this wasn't a real nightmare, I know that I'd be scared silly after one like this... |

Lots more to you, lady. And, Brian...it reminded me of that scene too...scary stuff. "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truly met the poet. ~vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (06-19-2003 09:34 PM).] |

ZOUNDS! Even my fever nightmares weren't like this. More surreal actually, but not so vividly morbid. |
