---I met this great guy, and we kissed a couple times.  We're both strong christians and we felt that we wern't really honouring God in our relationship.  We both decided that we should strat over and get to know each other as friends first rather than lovers or bf/gf what ever u want to call it.  I wrote this for him, just to let him know that I'll wait for him.--

Worth the Wait

Your smile makes my heart skip a beat,
And my mind think a thousand thoughts.
Your touch sends nerves shooting through my body,
And leaves me feeling weak.
Your being lets me feel safe and loved,
Wanting you more each day.
You not being with me,
Lets me know what they mean by love hurts.
You...you leave me thinking, feeling, wanting,
Knowing and understanding...
Understanding why you're worth the wait.

I asked God how much he loved me...
He said this much...
And streched out his arms and Died.

I feel the same things for Julie.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

May I say, more power to you? Bless you for your integrity. Another excellent write, keep it up!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Howdy! What a wonderful guy to have that is so understanding! I really like this piece.. it describes your love and his understanding so very well. The last guy I dated was a Christian and he wasn't so understanding about things like this, but you are very lucky and blessed. You will be blessed for your obedience to the Lord

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

topsyturveychick - from the way it sounds you two have really hit it together. I like your poem and the words to it. Very upbeat and meaningful...

Waiting - That's where I'm at, too. But whoever she is, she is worth waiting for...
