Challenge-  7-d...Ruby, Triolet

This is my first triolet...and it almost
killed me!  Thanks Sunshine for your help...I need a nap now!  LOL

Ruby Heart Pendant

Ruby heart pendant held by golden clasp
For she could not bear to let loose its hold
Though his heart remained outside of her grasp
Ruby heart pendant held by golden clasp
Released no sigh of hope in beauty’s gasp
Thus her heart’s story shall never be told
Ruby heart pendant held by golden clasp
For she could not bear to let loose its hold

Lovely poem, Patricia. You did a good job with your first triolet.

After this gold medal triolet victory, I trust you need to rest up for quite some time!

Wonderful! Isn't it rewarding when you stretch those poetic wings and fly to new heights!

I love the implications here!

"Ruby heart pendant held by golden clasp"

suggests a certain passion held in chains--and even golden chains are indeed, chains.

smile.

I just keep reading and I'm delighted.

You did a great job with this Patricia, and the Triolet is indeed one of my favorites to read.
