...hard to remember when the words ran out, a simple ‘I love you’ lost in the rain; missing those smiles you casually gave, reviving cold hearts to breathe once again. ...hard to ignore the way that you left, when the page of a journal is angered and torn; the spite ripped away with the paper that day small consolation for tears shed at dawn. ...hard to recall if the fault was all mine, harder to know where you’re hoarding the sun while I count all these questions and theorise why the words just ran out when the rain had begun. |
