I am decision’s vision To cast forth in the depths This unyielding screaming slight incision That’s best left to the leapt Who look and weep and ask to speak Before cloud-drops sting their eyes Who pray and sway atop mountain peaks Until they jump from heaven to the sky I asked one once where were they going and she just looked back smiled and waved She spoke in hymns as if not knowing that it was the end of days So in the silence I fell loud with a thud into the mud and unto the earth I rose unscathed and looked back up to the cloud where she was perched And again in time she smiled and waved and said nothing of the like Just stared at me as if disturbed by the glare she gave off in the light And so I covered my eyes in unjust envy, wishing I could fly But I have no wings or flight inside me so here I’m left to die But until then I think I’ll sit and drown my sorrows in the fear This apocalyptic feeling drawing to close to not be near But just as I sat and thought ashamed ill die without a past With no future or a tomb to let all those know who passed That once here sat a man of time who waited until the last The last second of the final hour and then just as he passed He was grabbed again by his angel friend and finally flew at last *sorry about the hallmarkness of it all, i really am* [This message has been edited by Gavin (07-29-2003 02:21 AM).] |

Gavin, I was just browsing and reading when I came across your post. It reads well and I enjoyed it very much. I can imagine this being recited in some poetry cafe. Very moving. quatro |

Very beautiful, and yes...quite a moving piece. Don't ever think that your work goes unread. ~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~ ~The breeze that kissed you on the face, |
