Pied Piper In the outer room a man sits in silhouette. His all to familiar masculine face hidden in shadows as sunlight spills across curtained memories. His smile dancing across musical notes and laughter filling darkened corners with his beauteous light. His slender fingers caressing the guitar sending out cords of magical beauty. This man who is in and out of my life like a swinging door. Has once again stopped to visit and play his mesmerizing melodies. His music drawing me forward capturing my very soul. His essence filling me with a hidden ache that only he can pull from the deep recesses of my mind. Each bass cord tumbling down into the valley of broken hearts and scattered dreams. Leaving me with a feeling of suppressed desire and agonizing longing. For once again the pied piper is spinning his magical spell taking my heart with him as he walks out the door back into his life of unhappiness. Bonnie J. |
