Inborn Storm Where is the honesty of a storm This sky bleeds feathers Dark is huddled in the rocks The path is dry I weep the missing song Too long the hold of breath The skin has dried to bone The stream I dance replenished By the sea in me in backwards drain Up the river to my gravity Buildings all nudge and stucco bright Beware the flight of wind Come night descending wings A kite without tether Tangles in the wires of my road And brings the lightening To my soul’s abode Reaching for my sagacity Inborn I am my own storm [This message has been edited by Martie (07-24-2003 12:43 PM).] |

" Reaching for my sagacity Inborn I am my own storm" I think it should be this way. We have to face the storm inside before we deal with those outside. This is a great reflective piece! Thanks. |

I weep the missing song Too long the hold of breath The skin has dried to bone The stream I dance replenished By the sea in me in backwards drain Up the river to my gravity ============================= Only you could personify like this... and only you could be so inspired from drought. Your muse is always awesome. "How could I stand here with you and not be moved by you." |

I started to quote some lines as the best expression of the sentiment in this poem, then decided on a couple of others, then others..... but short of quoting the entire work, I can't cover it that way. This poem tells it all on every level. This one stays with me for a long long time. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
