The Moon is at apogee
No farther will it pull
No fainter will it glow

I did not think to breathe this day
I did not think for thought
And yet my mind was full
Overwrought with loss

Radiant rays reflect
Wrinkled on Wind’s waves
Prostrate myself, am I subject
To their mind – to their ways?

I wonder what peace my true Twin holds
Arms raised, head bent in silent prayer?
While with a torch and sphere he shows
Not to find me unaware

Where on the Unicorn back he comes
Or hovers just above
From his eyes – from mine
The Light refracts
All the serious sides of Love

I own his care – as he knows mine
Entwined we are the same
While his head tilts softly in silent prayer
I’ve hung mine in some shame

Oh draw me up my Brother
Or fold me in thy wings
Or take me to our Mother
Or sing for me the Song She sings

For I’m worlds away from home
Though I’ve called this place my own
In your prayer – when you pray for me
Let it not be for me alone

I’m weary and belligerent
I’m peaceful and I’m quaint
I’m nearer and I’m distant
Please show me no restraint

I pray for your intercession; to interject
For you’ve flown swift on frightful wings
I pray you’ll hold the Torch high lit
And tell me the truth of what it means
I’ll sing my prayer to you – through you
Onto the Uni-Verse
The One Song that sang us all
From concept
To painful Birth

My Moon is at apogee
No farther will it pull
No fainter will it glow
I offer up my heart’s most silent prayer
For only you will know
