Father Me When the sun is on the other side of the mountain And, the rain it only seems to fall on me When the wind no longer holds all my desires And, the truth is just way to blurred to see... When certainty takes the role of no compassion And, giving up doesn't seem so hard to do When courage denies what little soul remains Then, once again, let me come running to you... Father me, Oh Father me, I'll be waiting Hold me like a father holding his child Father me just a little as I am down And, just let me live there for a while... When loyalty begs to be heard but no one hears And, a guarantee no longer shows it's face When chance happens for just the fortunate few And, destiny no longer claims it's place... When absolute is driven with nothing but fear And, agony fills the desperate and weak When crying a river doesn't change the world around me Then, once again, allow our hearts to meet... Father me, Oh Father me, I'll be waiting Hold me like a father holding his child Father me just a little while I am down And, just let me live there for a while...
