Father’s Day, 2003, wonder what’s ahead for thee. You toil, you slave, try to be brave and sometimes even dare to behave. You smile, you grump, you get in a frump, but you never cease to make our hearts thump. Could golf be what’s up your sleeve, from tasks and duties would you like reprieve? Or might you like to toss a ball and echo just what made you tall. For in our eyes, you’re number one for hugs and swings and scads of fun. So if you’d like some peace and calm just let us see your upturned palm. We’ll high-five you with the greatest glee and for awhile just let you be! Make no mistake, dear, Father, Dear, you’ve proved the best year after year. To let you go forever, No! For where’d we get our needed dough? ©June 15, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Virginia, Perfect. Well I'm glad you showed up for this holiday. Fun write. Enjoy. :_ If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
