Hey Mable,
the cable
went on the fritz,
no reruns,
no reruns,
it’s giving me fits.
No channels to flip
Commercials to skip
No CNN
No TNN
No ABC
No NBC
It seems surreal,
Without Vanna’s “Wheel.”
Ain’t got no cable,
I just got Mable,
And a screen that’s bare,
There’s nothing there,
I was upset,
With a blank tv set,
Then Mable brought me a beer,
My Mable’s a dear,
I guess it’s all right,
For a cableless night,
As I sit here with Mable,
Without any cable.
