oh Ethel Mae, that is soooo cute. even though i'm not a daddys girl, i can see how it must feel to have that special relationship, through your words. I have it, but unfortunately, only with my mum, but heck i still love him! That really is the best fathers day gift anyone could give their dad, is this poem. much love to you, gem xxxx |

I know, LongJohn. LOL But, I guess I just couldn't wait.  Thanks for reading and replying. I appreciate it. . . Gemma, thank you. I'm glad that you do have a good relationship with your Mum. My Mama and I are best friends. I can talk to her about anything...well, almost anything. LOL My Dad's sweet, but Mama's easier to talk to. I love them both very much, though. . . Thank you, Sue. Yep, even though my Dad and I have had a lot of disagreements...(my Mom says that's because we have so many ways alike LOL).. I am very proud of him. He has always been a good Daddy to me and my brother. I have another poem that I wrote about him in 1985 that I posted right after I came here. I'm planning to re-post it tomorrow. My Mom has a copy of that one and one that I wrote for her that year on Mother's Day in a frame on their wall. That made me feel good that they liked them that much. Yes, I'm very blessed to have the relationship that I have with both my parents and my future in-laws. Hugs Ethel |
