Oh, such wonderful what's-its and gizmos he made, neat contraptions and thingies, devised by the score. As they functioned on principles, deftly displayed, made with pulleys, and levers, and fulcrums, and more. At the pull of a string or the flip of a switch, were set objects in motion that made others spin, there in counter-rotation to widgets on which could no logical reason by anyone, pin. Now dislodging a roller-skate off of a shelf, and, releasing balloons high up into the air, showing pictures of none, but the "Master" himself, it's "Rube Goldberg",inventor most extraordinaire! His machinery of whimsy's un-paralleled yet, to decscribe it's a challenge I hope that's been met. |

Martie, Thanks. An amazing individual he must have been to envision such extaordinary contraptions. As with any other art-form, to be that creative, and to have such an understanding of the subject, surely must be close to achieving a higher conciousness. Doc suthern, Thanks much. Sorry for delay in replying. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Really. Doc |
