they hang there like the jewel of a crown an inch from our forehead a part of our memory but apart from our touch they bless us in ways we can't see unless we bless ourselves with a mirror then we can... hear their curves of face in the turns of our eyes through the years of our lives measure our deeds through the dead and "there lies..._____________" I have not known the grief that is sharpest my grief is dull death......... yes but not that close to bone my skin merely shows scars not home |
