Like a Willow Tree |

Late in life, late at night, mysteries time of true delight glides with ease between this time, others past and still to be. Sometimes with force I can’t believe it holds me in a trance but, oh, the thrill of love set free flutters like a willow tree. Weeping, crying, begging more, bowing to an inner need, it touches ground within my soul to find the core of energy which like a flame bursts skyward bound and flies, it flies, indeed it flies, on winds of silent synergy. More than me and what I see, more than I ever hope to be, enlarges, grows, and overfills the trunk of mind’s capacity but streams of all not meant to be, not meant for me to feel, forces roots of discontent to dig and sink in apathy. Not yet asleep they dream, not yet quite dead they grieve and weave towards the shadow lands of yet another eve. |

Honeybunch...Oh, how beutiful this tells it, to fly, yet still be dirt bound. |

Hi, Martie. Yes, the mind flies but the body is such a drag! Thanks for the read. |

Thank you LeeJ. It's an old one but trees and dreams are somehow entwined. |

Midnitesun, Enchantress, Jennis and Anwar - thank you all for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love Willow Trees but sadly a lot of them have been removed in favour of "progress". |
