Thou Art A Poet thou art a poet I feel thy pain as deep as oceans floor salty as any sea love abounds like green painted across spring in colors rich in textured passion when drops drip in waxed wick’s life and ooze in melt across pages where anger flies in flame from red to blue when joy touches then your brush takes empty canvas to open windows for breezes breath and brings me close, caresses me and lets me in through words for thou art a poet "if you keep looking back, you are going to miss your whole life" Unknown |

Don't know what to say, Helen.... ....except to thank you from the deepest places in me, and tell you that this poem describes the very best I hope ever to accomplish as a writer. That I achieve even a part of it is fulfillment of a dream I hardly dare to look at myself, let alone share with anyone else..... now they all know, and I thank you for that too. You've written such beautiful truth... for if he's not a poet, then I don't know anyone who deserves the designation. *S* But he is... The insight he brings to the simplest observations brush them with magic, he takes our emotions both into hell and beyond the skies and leaves us longing for more at the end of either journey... he asks us to think... and the one answer appropriate for every read is: Yes... this is poetry... poetry at its very best.
