With my darkling

An emptiness, I'll fill,  I think
With bitterness and poison drink
My amber mistress, in a glass
She keeps me standing near the brink

Its past and pain, she numbs, she knows
With every drink, the darkling grows
My amber mistress, in a glass
She pays my price in coin she chose

I raise my crystal, in salute
I laugh and know she'll follow suit
My amber mistress in a glass
We toast to weakness,  undilute

She whispers, take me, I am yours
I'll hide your  pain behind locked doors
My amber mistress in a glass
Will save my soul, so she assures
