So Wednesday wept
In an emotional hangover of
mid-week what next mania
that left my eyes irritated
and my nose sore
from having it rubbed
again.

The day used to be a marker
Half way
And now it just sparks
An emotional flat line
Of here we go

Again?

I’d wipe those tears
From Wednesday’s cheek
If my heart could reach
Far enough….
Or close enough…
And grasp the hold
Of sliding minutes
Or a hand
But the tissues are over there
And I’m here
Too far
Too close to the edge
Of another Thursday

I'm reminded of something that
little girls use to receive
on their birthdays...but I digress...

So...

I guess it's up to me to ask
you to ready one for tomorrow, because
you've started another string of thinkers,
I'm sure...

I woke up with a whole lotta Wednesday woe..
you been reading my mind?

WHOA......................

All I can feel is this distance between you and me.
I can say I love you but I can't make you believe me
because touching is believing.

Oh, do I know this state of mind as I am a Wednesday's child.  What will Thursday bring?  I await tomorrow impatiently for your words.

I know these words... though I'd never read them... Now... they're going into my library so I can read them again and again. *S*

I feel the low in this poem, but I'm not sure if it is  yours or someone elses...in either case...
