The moon is crescent tonight
And sheds longer rays or light
Through our window
Reminding me of how unlike
The open Mongol plains
This place is.

I do not know why you rose
And stood gazing east
As the light showed soft
The contours of you
I had but a few short hours ago
Explored again as if
There had never been a first time
And would not be a last.

I watched,
Half lidded feign of sleep
So as not to disturb you
Or the beauty of the moment
When you turned and in half light
I made out the lines between
Sun brown and fair
Mapping them again
To memory….

It was your sigh
As if the breeze
Through rush bed rustled
On early morning
Which brought me tears
For fear you were unhappy
With our return and this chore
Of buy and sell I had chosen to provide.

You saw my eyes
And walked back to bed
Where you straddled me in sit
And kissed the salt from cheeks
And lay tender palm on my chest
To rise..then lower
As you found the comfort of us

You my love are
The rose with petals soft
That grows wild along the hills
Where streams are born
and I would not pluck you
from that which you are born
less you wilt
and I
lose your love.

As tender
as a lotus flower
in a blue pooled oasis...

when this epoch is finished,
I'm coming back
to hie them
into my library
and onto a very, very special shelf

for replucking.

Ron, you make me want to cry...

I watched,
Half lidded feign of sleep
So as not to disturb you
Or the beauty of the moment
When you turned and in half light
I made out the lines between
Sun brown and fair
Mapping them again
To memory….

In a good way. oh and the ending. you truly are a magnificent poet. you always create such scenes, that i play out in my mind, as if in a movie, but in a quieter, more intimate way.
with your words, readers really can ~see~ and ~feel~. like i said before, you make me see colours when you write.

i shall stop blathering, add this to my library, and go and read it again.

stunning, stunning, stunning!

muchos love,
gem

I'm like Nancy on this one...I can't say
what I really want to say here, so all I'll
say is  Whew!! and go off to keep in so I can
read it again.
