the saddest song
in a voice that loved, and lied
you held my breath
in melody
and cried

you held a soft
and sweet caress
in countless, dawning smiles
you lost the time
on moonlit walks
for miles

you held my breath
in melody
and stanzas lost in rhyme
you walked with me
to heaven.
You're mine.
