Juniper Itch

I seem to have
the juniper itch
I’m sure that you
don’t give a stitch
but it’s making me
writhe and twitch
to suffer in this way.

It’s prob’ly from
the dustly mites
that live and cling
to greens real tight
and when I come
to disturb their site
they seek to drive me
far away.

But, alas, I
shall persevere
for I must make it
ever clear
that that much foliage
is none to dear,
and I cannot
let it stay.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Oh, no! Don't kill a juniper! The berries make great gin, and the juniper essential oils are great for a host of things--from detoxifying the blood to relieving arthritic pain!

Great to see you posting again! Missed you!

Lovin' hugs,
Linda
P.S. Now that school is out for the summer, will be seeing more of you and your wonderful poetry!

Oh, no, I'm not killing it, just pruning it so my house can still be seen and I can still see out. ;o} Don't make jam or wine, though.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Seems you're in a gardening mood Virginia!
It's so good to see your words here again.
