Yesterday

"I felt the earth move under my feet"
surprising me that I didn't cave in
to the negative, as I had so many days before.

Maybe having to walk through
all those gray areas of my life
and the dreariness of nature's wrath on us this Spring,
made the sun's shining all the more meaningful.

There are so many levels of friendships in life
and this for a friend... and each gives
what they have inside to give, nothing more,
nothing less, and acceptance is the key to contentment.

Still we strive for more, always wanting,
always feeling the need
to feel needed and wanted.

Never realizing that what we have is precious
and although it may be "few"
it is there, a treasure unto each to behold.

My sermon for the day~~~
M

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

M,
Isn't the title and the first line from some songs I know? And you are so right. But the you are always are. I know you just need a man to tell you that once in a while, right?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

yes Larry  you are correct although it was the first line that were the words that came to my mind...and if  you paid attention I squeezed one more in there (the precious and few) I wasn't going to post today (have lots of cleaning to do to ready for company) but I was reading a bit and thought "What a Beautiful day this is" and wanted to share with a friend or two.

And if you were the only man to say so today, I would smile and be thankful.

many hugs for being here, there or ...

No. I am learning to be content with what God has given me, as you have. Keep preaching

Zenny  and EC, thank you.

Song words keep coming to mind today... darn that Larry C

But "it's not often easy and not often kind"
trying to reach that level of contentment.
