Weeds, weeds, beautiful weeds, doing all their dastardly deeds. Providing me with exercise, finding ways to improvise, wishing I could exorcise their evilness, vitality, but alas, it’s reality That they shall always circumvent my attempts, through malcontent, to rid them of their holding fast chewing up the wilderness. Of course if I should only sit within the joy of sweet respite, would I not wither as the flowers that fight the weeds through all the showers and grasp for soil beneath their feet to their demise a sad defeat? ©June 24, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Virginia I know how you feel.. It's a thankless-back-breaking-job! I'd leave them but I hate to see my flowers choke. ~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~ ~If you haven't heard the sunset, |

My husband says..."Weed the garden." "Why don't we just start over, at this rate, we could just pull out everything else instead!" Somehow, he didn't find that as amusing as I did! Wonderful write, and YES I can relate! |
