Time In Reminisce

I looked over my shoulder
watching from a distance,
remembering that day when
I learned a lesson of the heart.

Those first impressions
twisted fantasies, were
a gift to shadow me
from that moment on.

The strength of your hold
offered me acceptance,
as I allowed that first dance
to sweep me off my feet.

I remember following your movements pressed,
yielding to the dips and turns,
subjecting myself to more of you,
my heart pounding in deliverance.

Picture perfect back then,
alone and without now,
except for the touches of you
remaining for eyes to soak in,
to flood my heart with the abundance
of caring, that remains despite.

Yes..I know those shadows...I have been working very hard to banish them...

Very nice work.

sometimes those shadows Susan, aren't such a bad thing...I don't mind the memories good or bad. They are each a learning experience.

Sometimes Chris, I wish I didn't have that "caring" gene...
But I am who I am...

Good morning SEA...I have decided to look upon the good in life, that I have shared with others and not to dwell on the sad. It's not always easy, but the anxiety lessens each day.
Thank you for stopping by.
