The Torch of Love Your first smile my fears vanished, Your love had found its mark. Loneliness fled as bat banished To abyss of the dark. By what power; by what grace You lifted chains of strife? What guided Fate to draw your face On the palette of my life? As traveler in shadows drowned Immersing into light -- I shed the shroud of darkness bound And emerged from the Night. You are the torch that casts warm glow And fuels my life's desire. I --- but a spellbound moth in tow Enthralled by your fire. CG |

I agree. Well done! "There are three things men can do with women: love them, suffer for them, or turn them into literature." |

By what power; by what grace You lifted chains of strife? What guided Fate to draw your face On the palette of my life? I love this. *S* And yes... love can light even the darkest corners. *S* Well done! |
