The cold steel of another day
pressed against your skull
insomnia's had an itchy trigger finger
of late and thoughts
you'd hoped had drowned
in a deluge of benders and pub crawls
resurface cold and grey
2 steps forward 7 years back
Staring at the ceiling
your sheets soaked in sweat
your pillow in tears
What do you do when
you're staring down the barrel
of another day?
