Is good and evil a function of perception, perspective?
Is there any absolute good or evil that in human history
has been agreed upon?

My question is a reaction to currently reading:
"14-18 Understanding the Great War"

That men should willingly subject themselves for years
to such horrors as existed on the front is incomprehensible
to us as the book points out, but it is still wrong to see them
victims of some power that sought to exploit them for
its own purposes. And it’s amazing to read the accounts
of veterans who were not at all apologetic or regretful
of their participation, even of their wounds.

Good and Evil is  kinda like Conservative and libral in the way that most things in life are in the middle.  Some stray from that middle and the very few reach the far ends of the spectrum.

Good? Right?  How to know?  That is the problem for us in the middle we know that there is good and bad, but because we are not perfect, our judgement is clouded.

I always felt good is self sacrafice. Any thing that makes you bleed conquering your fears, understanding, hope, trust, to love unconditionally, Putting others before you, Protecting the things you love, giving and letting go of attachments

I always fealt that things that contra dict this is not good.

There was this one philosophy where the devil says to a man

-Do what you want. ITs you life. You choice

Jesus says

-Don't do it! look at what will happpen

THen the deed happened.  The man sinned

The devil said,

Loook at what you did.  your a disgrace. How could you do this.  See you are a bad person. Look how easy you did it. your a natural. You can never go back

THen jesus says:

I still love you, come back to me.

Just a thought...........
