"Freedom" Ahh, to hear the song of freedom to no longer feel the pain; of guilty love, of dying love, of the burn of acid rain. To break away from ball and chain and lift my head up to the sky; will no more be my heart's desire as daylight passes by. To end the end, what never was, this life I've learned to hate; comes harder than the first steps of life whose passion had to wait. The test of time did not prove right the pain incurred grew more intense; without a doubt this love is gone without a fight...I leave. quatro P.S. This was written just after I decided it was time to get a divorce from my husband after being separated for 4 years. I am my mother's child afterall. |

I have never gone through divorce and pray I never will. Yet in your poem, I felt, through the words, your sorrow. I'm deeply sorry. It is a nicely worded poem though. /hugs |

Thank you so much for your comments. You are all very appreciated. Most of my writings come from some type of emotional progression/degression, but I'm always looking to turn over a new leaf. Thanks again. quatro |

Been there; done that. It is good to be reminded in such a clear poetic way. Thank you for sharing the summary of what had to hurt...a lot. Be well and be happy. |

Suetang, The hardest part of the whole marriage thing was being married. We were separated for 4 years and I finally realized that life goes on...with or without him. The divorce part was easy. That was 8 years ago and I'm a lot happier without him. Thank you for your kind words. Naome |
