In Titled Feelings

Take my hand, let me lead you to happiness,
embraced, by one tiny raindrop
trickling down, reminding me of the last words
when rhythm of hearts slowed their beat
and eyes silently watched the smile in passing.

Since the raindrops fell and the bonds of friendship
have loosened, I am caught in tomorrow's dawn
knowing this moment had to come, that your being mute
to my needs, brought too many ups and downs.
That my life was all in a day's dream, and
the pondering had to end, no longer was my level of endurance
able to hold me together, no longer was I fit to be by your side.

You will realize, some day that the heart of a poet, this poet,
had once kept rhythm with yours.
But that the many random thoughts, the many secrets held,
kept me from dancing with you.
The walk away is not easy for me.
The hurtful words were not of my making,
but were forced upon me by my loss of pride.

It has always been as you wish, although now my sunny days
will be holding clouds and the only thing that the tie dyed sky
holds for me is shades of blue, bound to me
as my sun sets on this, a very sad day, after all.

Just remember, I did this for you, in sorrow
as a healing bleed, as I paint my heart in red
and emotions seep behind the falling of tears.

M

Well Dixie, if you keep dragging these up, you will keep me awake late into the night responding to them...
thanks

jellybeans, must have been one of those days that I couldn't find my own words to describe my feelings.

thank you
