I saw you lying there today In that red dress you liked so well Looking more beautiful than you could be Surrounded by the thoughts and love Of those that came to say Goodbye One last time before sending you Home Was your bed the one you wanted We all seemed to see it first From the back of the room Powder blue with the pillow to match As we all came to see you And hold on to the end I knew you were there with us Holding us Guiding us Wishing peace in our hearts Did I hear your voice in the corner Was it you whispering thoughts of love Shielding our minds and hearts from the pain Of losing you from our lives But did we lose you at all Or did you simply ascend to a new role To pave the way for us And to prepare for our journey across the Void For we shall meet again someday, somewhere To share a laugh and a smile As you take us to meet the One who is All But for now I shall wait here Alone with the others Until I hear you bid me Welcome Home When the morning cries and you don't know why... |

A very beautiful tribute, and a very wonderful way to honour your mother in law. I'm sure she's smiling as she reads this. Kielo I know only one thing, and that thing is that I know nothing. |

Brad, I'm so sorry that I missed this the first time around. This is a very beautiful tribute you wrote for your Mother-in-law. Heart hugs to all of you, Ethel |
