Morning sun
release me please
Deny this state
of reverie
Oh, so sweet
a calming shroud
which keeps my fists
from grinding
down
down
down
into the deep dark depths
of me

Green grass sweet
retreat
through my window
peek I
b-r-e-a-t-h-e
you into me

Inhale
summer scent
freedom from this dream
state
virtual debate
of late
Whispers in the morn'
to remind me
that You
shall never leave
my silent reprieve
solemn prayer
you stand
beside me

Release me please
from this reverie

Thanks SY

release seems to come from within...though we can find solace in the works of nature or art or other people...

nicely written.. now go play barefoot... and laugh...

amazing that just inhaling something so simple could save  your soul, if but for a fleeting moment
beautiful and green, and i am off work today and its sunny in the garden state,,,,,,,and i am off to jog and i will smile, smile, smile,

May love and light always shine upon you!

I loved the way you prolonged the b-r-e-a-t-h-e for in the line I actually took a deep breath and thought for one second I could actually smell the green grass.  There is nothing nicer than the smell of freshly cut grass.  Thank you for the image, as it was excellent!
