Due hung spiders webs glisten in the diffused morning light.

Snuffling furry foxes, push sensitve snouts into snow, as flakes fall silently, slowly.

Vulnerable rabbits dig the snowy fields for food, foxes try to snatch a snack.

Suddenly a barn owl arches over the cold white carpet of snow, heavenly gothic in the weak morning sun.

Ice sculptures of surging snow swelled streams, conceal the still active grayling.

Whooper swan guests from far north, grace our lakes with their white purity, while waders on esturies flood in flurries onto the tideline, restless.

Grazing barnacle geese, brave the bitter wind and lashing rain, they always come back again and again.

Emerald marram grass and sand , blast from left horizon, mingling with the sea's surf, breakers rush the shore, like beaching whales.

Seabirds gusted by bitter biting winds, fly and mock the spiraling, swirling waves with aerial agility.

Translucent sparkling waves, pound the beaches, rising and falling like a huge living sea monster, in a boiling froth, angry.

Tides turn and start the feeding race of probing bills, picking over the newly replenished beaches.

Sleep,sleep; Sleep slowly, sleep deep.
Butterfies and bats silently slumber in suspended animation.

Outside our windows, the cold woodland is busy with foraging animals and birds, calling their incesant unique calls.

Old black knarled trees, casts a horror shadow over magical pristeen white of snow and ice, a conflict of good and evil.

Silently the snow falls on our favourite birds, feeding at our tables. Will the robins, tits and finches see spring?

Highland deer and golden eagles, feed cheek by jowl in the snowbound scottish scene, camoflaged hares and ptarmigans brace themselves against the absolute white snow's of winters worst weather.

Eagles glide in for victims on wings of no sound, like a sigh on the wind...

thats quite a view you have
This is so lovely...poetically packed with so many images of natures gifts, displayed with your pen of assonace and alliteration.
Enjoyed the beauty of your winter vision.
Well done poet sir.
