Arms oustretched atop empty throne
another hypocrite amidst the thrall.
Lost in blasphemous rhapsody of form
praising lords before the fall.

Feel the crease of righteous existance,
standfast this holiistic resistance.
Eternal life is the beckoning call,
still deaths shadow encompasses all.

We could have heaven on this plane if all were devoted to a righteous existance!

Dear Mike you are profound here and your poem is very powerful, I am impressed.

Personally I think death is the gate to a new life, but this does not exclude that we live in the NOW fully, at our best.
We are blocked in living fully if we are dominated by the shadows of death ...
Embrace Life and Love!
Much love, Margherita

Gyiel Marlok,
Welcome to PIP!

Yes this is a short poem, you are right. But this poem wasn't meant to be sweet, that's for sure LOL Thanks for your reply, I hope to hear from you again!

Margherita,
I think you may be right, I hope you are right, but there are times when it all seems so farsical to me.

Thank you for calling this profound. This just came to my pen, I didn't go out of my way to write this, unlike the poem I posted before this. I just sat down for a couple of minutes and started writing, and this was the result. It was just in me I guess.

You know how I LOVE to hear from you Margherita
